Participation in the 4th Annual Meeting of the EUROSAI Task Force on Municipality Audit

In response to the invitation of the National Audit Office of Lithuania, who chairs the EUROSAI Task Force on Municipality Audit (EUROSAI TFMA) since its creation in 2016, Edgar Thinnes, Head of the General Secretariat of EURORAI, took part as observer in the 4th Annual Meeting of the EUROSAI TFMA members which was held remotely on 19 November 2020.
The purpose of the meeting (the meeting material is available under the following link: https://www.vkontrole.lt/tf/page.aspx?id=88) was to discuss the progress and results of the ongoing activities of the TFMA Activity Plan 2020, to plan the tasks for 2021 and to address other important issues related to municipality audit and other activities of the Task Force.
The meeting was organized by the National Audit Office of Lithuania and was attended by 69 participants coming from 28 countries among which were not only representatives of 26 EUROSAI member states, but also representatives of the OECD and EURORAI. The EUROSAI Task Force on Municipality Audit was set up in June 2016 by the EUROSAI Governing Board. It unites SAIs from 27 EUROSAI member states. EURORAI has an observer status at the EUROSAI TFMA since 2017.
Edgar Thinnes will present a report on his participation in the meeting to the EURORAI Management Committee. The committee will decide then in which future Task Force activities EURORAI would like to participate.
