EURORAI adopts guidelines for independent regional public sector audit institutions

During the first session of the EURORAI seminar held in St. Pölten last 29th April were presented the guidelines for independent regional public sector audit institutions which had been prepared by the working group and approved by the Management Committee last March in Linz.

The guidelines, which had been established by the working group following the examples of the Lima and Mexico Declarations of INTOSAI with consideration of improvement suggestions which had been made by member institutions in a survey, aims to be a useful tool for all EURORAI members on which they can rely during the performance of their work.

When presenting the guidelines, which can be downloaded here, the President of EURORAI, Klaus P. Behnke, emphasized the importance of the work carried out and encouraged all members of EURORAI to use the guidelines in order to further stress the role of regional public sector audit institutions and strengthen their importance.
