First meeting of the EURORAI working group on communication

The first EURORAI working group meeting on the subject of communication was held in Seville on 27 October on the occasion of the seminar on e-government and public audit.

The group comprises Elke Anast (Vice-President of the Court of Audit of Upper Austria), Leonid Andreev (Head of the Expert-Analytical and Organizational Support of the Chamber of Control and Accounts of Rostov Region), Sophie Bergogne (President of the Regional Audit Chamber of Brittany), Helena Mateos (Head of the Cabinet of the Presidency of the Audit Office of Andalusia) and Gaby Schäfer (President of the Court of Audit of Schleswig-Hostein). The President of the Audit Office of Andalusia and member of the EURORAI Management Committee, Antonio López, will supervise the work performed by the working group and will submit periodic reports on the results to the committee. The working language of the working group will be English.

The aim of the group is to produce a report for all EURORAI members on communication with a view to recommending good practice from experiences mentioned by members in a survey. Following the first meeting, in a first step group members will set up a questionnaire on communication issues both internally (within EURORAI: the quest for mechanisms to enhance interaction among members) and externally (of member institutions to the outside world: the search for mechanisms to improve communication with parliaments, authorities and other institutions and associations, as well as with the general public) before preparing a draft report based on the replies received to the survey.
