  • At its meeting held in Seville on 22 March, the Conference of Presidents of Audit Offices of Autonomous Communities in Spain decided to appoint the President of the Audit Office of Castile-La Mancha, Miguel Ángel Cabezas de Herrera Pérez, and the President of the Audit Office of Galicia, Luciano Fariña Busto, as new representatives in the Management Committee of EURORAI after the departure of Joan Colom Naval.  
  • The EURORAI General Secretariat is pleased to inform you that the preliminaries for the International Seminar on New Public Management in Europe are in an advanced stage and it is for this reason that we would like to ask now those interested in attending the event to register before next April 20th, 2011 and to make their hotel reservation.  
  • In spring 2011 the Court of Audit of Hesse, in collaboration with EURORAI, will organise a seminar on New Public Management in Europe. The event will take place on 19 and 20 May in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe.  
  • The new President of EURORAI, Stephen Taylor, who took up the post last October at the VII Congress of the Association, travelled to Valencia at the beginning of this week to visit the Audit Office of the Valencian Autonomous Community, where the seat of EURORAI is located.  
  • The European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA), a leading centre of European learning and development for the public sector and EU policies, and its Antenna in Barcelona, the European Centre for the Regions (ECR), are organizing a Seminar on Internal and External Audit of the EU Funded Programmes and Projects: Structural Funds, Cohesion Fund and Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance. The seminar will take place in Barcelona from 27 to 29 October 2010 and several representatives of EURORAI member institutions will take part as lecturers.
